IPT's business is built on a foundation of opt-in and permission based direct marketing and we are committed to ensuring the highest possible standards are maintained across the industry.

A brief history of IPT

Founded in 1999, IPT rapidly established itself as an innovative leader in the online marketing business creating lead generating web sites such as MyOffers. When the company began there was only Seth Godin's book 'Permission Marketing: Turning Strangers Into Friends And Friends Into Customers' to show the way, so it required the in-depth knowledge and skill of IPT's team to develop the products and services that would be enthusiastically embraced by marketers.

Data collected on MyOffers and our other websites built over 1,200 prospect databases for clients such as ScottishPower and TalkTalk. The sites also provided the building blocks for the List Rental database containing over 7m postal and email addresses.

Between the years 2003 and 2006 IPT quadrupled revenues and increased net profits tenfold. In 2004 the company was floated on AIM.

As the business grew, between August 2005 and February 2007, it acquired a number of companies. This expanded the core products to include email broadcasting, market research and affiliate marketing.

In late 2008 a management buyout secured both the UK List Rental and Lead Generation divisions from IPT plc. The PLC changed its name and these two divisions formed the basis of a new company which for continuity reasons assumed the name IPT Limited.

Since the MBO in September 2008 IPT Limited has gone from strength to strength. The quality and effectiveness of our data collected on MyOffers continues to shine with our clients enjoying consistent or improving open and click rates.

The last two years have been extremely challenging for just about every business. IPT is however proud that in such a hostile business environment not only have we gained a host of new clients, but also our existing clients continue to buy our data, frequently in larger volumes than ever before.

Our People

Our success is testament to the growing importance and maturing of online communication, which now takes pride of place in the traditional direct marketing mix. It is also testament to the vision and innovation of our team, many of whom have been specialists in the field since the very conception of email direct marketing, and lifestyle databases before that. IPT now employs over 55 staff, including in-house teams of designers, programmers and production consultants - based at our offices in central London.
